Fix Studios did not start as a generic business idea.

It started in a hospital room.

After nearly a decade of trying to start a family, Elizabeth "Dr. Beth" Matre and Andrew “Andy” Matre finally welcomed their first son. Just hours after his birth, Andy was holding their newborn baby, looked at Beth, and said, “We’re starting a medspa.”

At the time, Beth was working in urgent care while also working part-time in aesthetics and injectables. She had more than 25 years of medical experience across critical care, trauma, urgent care, and aesthetic medicine, but shift work meant long hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and time away from the family they had worked so hard to build.

Andy’s vision was simple: get Beth out of shift work and build something that allowed her to be home for breakfast, dinner, bedtime, weekends, and holidays.

That same evening, in the hospital room, Andy started working on the business plan.

A few months later, Fix Studios opened its doors.

Today, that mission matters even more. Beth and Andy are now raising two toddler boys, and Fix Studios has grown into something bigger than a business. It is the clinic they built for their family, and the kind of place they wanted clients to feel like part of, too.

Dr. Beth Matre leads the clinical side of Fix Studios.

As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Certified Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Beth brings more than 25 years of medical experience across critical care, trauma, urgent care, dermatology, and aesthetic medicine. Her background gives her a strong foundation in safety, anatomy, clinical judgment, and patient-centered care.
